About Michal Fattal
Michal Fattal, born 1979 in Jerusalem, is a freelance photojournalist, based in Jerusalem, Israel.
Between 2003 and 2006 she studied Photography and Digital Media at Hadassah College Jerusalem and Graduated with Honors, after having earned the Scholarship for Excellency.
During the last year of college, she started working as a freelance photographer for Norwegian national daily Aftenposten, as welll as a writer and a photographer for the Israeli Maariv's Jerusalem edition, and until 2008 worked as a staff photographer for Flash90 news photo agency.
Her work has been published in media such as New York Times, Time Magazine, Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, Berliner Zeitung, Profil, Frankfurter Rundschau, Newsweek, La Razon, Herald Tribune, View Magazine, Brigitte, Gurdian and Foreign Policy, among others.

Solo exhibition at the Jerusalem Artists' House (2009), Group exhibitions include "Photos That Made History" (2007), "Local Testimony", an Israeli exhibition of photojournalism (2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010), a slideshow at Visa Pour L'Image (2009) and "Beyond the Sambatyon: the story of Bnei Menashe" (2010).
